Soricomorphans - Moles and Shrews

Southern short-tailed shrew

Soricomorpha is an order of placental mammals that includes moles, shrews, desmans and solenedons.

Soricomorphans often resemble small rodents.

They often lived underground.

Their diet generally consists of small invertebrates, including insects and earthworms.

Soricomorphans must eat very frequently in order to obtain enough energy to survive.

Some may be considered pests by humans. They sometimes help human beings by eating destructive insects.
